In-Residence Primary Treatment

A highly structured, trauma-informed residential program for adults working on problematic substance use, combining individual and group counselling with psycho-educational workshops, life-skills work, wellness programming, and recovery support groups. The stay opens with a one-week orientation phase and weaves in integrative wellness modalities — yoga, creative arts therapy, acupuncture, meditation — so new recovery habits extend beyond talk therapy. Staff are trained to work with concurrent disorders and clients on methadone or Suboxone maintenance.

Publicly funded beds via Vancouver Coastal Health — per the 211 BC listing, government/ministry-funded clients pay up to $45/day toward per-diem expenses; referral through VCH's Central Addiction Intake Team (CAIT). 211 BC lists private pay at $250/day, but Pacifica's admissions page states private funding is currently on hiatus — confirm with intake.

Pre-Engagement Program

Keeps people connected while they wait for a residential bed: group discussion circles, mindfulness exercises, and facility orientation, with weekly staff check-ins to gauge readiness for in-residence services. Participants do not need to be substance-free to take part, though abstaining while on-site is required.

Resiliency Program

Community members in the second half of their in-residence stay and the first weeks after discharge · Second half of in-residence stay + first 8 weeks post-discharge · Vancouver

A trauma-focused stream that acknowledges the link between trauma and substance use, emphasizing stabilization skills through somatic work, connection work, and process work such as journaling and creative movement. It spans the second half of the residential stay and continues through the first eight weeks after discharge, bridging treatment and early community re-entry.

Continuing Care & Alumni Services

Program graduates · 12–18 months post-treatment · Vancouver

Post-treatment support that keeps graduates engaged for roughly 12 to 18 months after discharge, with year-round workshops, peer-support gatherings, social events, volunteerism, and meaningful engagement on committees and working groups.

Professional Addiction Treatment at Home (PATH)

Adults who want structured treatment while maintaining work, family, and home life · 16 weeks (two 8-week phases) · 96 hours of professional contact · Virtual (online)

A 16-week virtual outpatient program delivered in small therapist-led cohorts, integrating individual counselling, group therapy, and psychoeducation within a trauma-informed, evidence-based framework (CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, relapse-prevention planning). Phase one runs four sessions a week for eight weeks; phase two tapers the frequency while keeping group and individual support.
