Five days of sobriety are required before arrival — there is no on-site detox. The organization reports an 80% completion rate and 53% sustained abstinence-based recovery one year post-treatment.

Lethbridge Recovery Community

Adult Albertans seeking help with addiction and willing to take part in daily community life (the About page describes it as a 50-bed men's facility) · 50 beds · Just outside Lethbridge, AB

A long-term recovery community opened in 2024 in partnership with the Government of Alberta under the province's Recovery Model, structured in four phases: orientation, primary treatment, community living, and transition/continuing care. Daily life blends trauma-informed therapies, peer mentorship, and practical life-skills development, and before discharge staff work through transition logistics — housing exploration, transportation planning, securing IDs and benefits — with alumni groups, counselling, and relapse-prevention planning continuing afterward.

Day Program

Each residence has a dedicated team of Outreach Peer Support Workers providing case management across employment and education pathways, mental health referrals, financial stability, and community reintegration.

Outreach Services & Alumni Community

Post-treatment support that starts before discharge: outreach workers coordinate with addiction counsellors for an informed handoff, then provide weekly check-ins, personalized recovery planning, resume and job-search help, life-skills coaching, and relapse-prevention support, with staff reachable 24/7. Alumni gather weekly for dedicated meetings, and depending on need, graduates may extend their stay at the treatment facility, move into post-treatment housing, or reintegrate into their home environment.

Family and Friends Healing Initiative

Anyone impacted by a loved one's substance use — whether that person is in treatment, considering it, or still struggling · 4 weeks (two 2-hour evening sessions per week) · Calgary (411 41 Ave NE), in person

An in-person evening group program running Tuesdays and Thursdays, two hours a session across four weeks, that works through fear, worry, control, and enabling patterns toward healthier boundaries — including the line between empathy and overextension — alongside themes of hope, forgiveness, and letting go. Graduates continue with weekly alumni support meetings and gatherings through the year.
